What's On Your Plate?
While taking Della The Wonder Pit for a walk in the park to contemplate my lunchtime choices, a sudden burst of leaves riveted my attention to Isabel the neighborhood hawk, ascending to this branch with hers. Watching my gurl nibble on what seemed to be a slightly tough but very fresh squirrel, I reflected on her diet, then decided to forgo the calorie laden deli-sandwich I was leaning toward; I went home and whipped up something fresh instead.
Whipping Up Creativity
Ancestors! It's been a moment. I'm finally whipping up the past years' albums for y'all to peep through. It's been great just to live, in order to recover the energy to open the portal again. Besides, I miss y'all. Yeah I know I can catch up on Ravelry, but I've missed blogging––plus I'm tired of folks letting me have it for not.
One major reason I haven't blogged, is because I knitted my first large work. The commission is the textile part of an installation by the international artist and sweetheart Jennifer Tee, at the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, in Peekskill, NY. The link is under My Work in the sidebar, and the details of the knitting are to come.
Since then, I've been knitting and spinning (that's something else, and there's a new blog for it) and putting out my desires for the coming New Year. Really. Those who know me, know I don't celebrate the Gregorian calendar, but the ecclesiastical one––it's more visually accurate for me in terms of newness. Easter is my new year. Any Vernal Equinoxer's out there?
It Could Be You
Seen On The Street is back! No, I didn't get bored; there just wasn't anything to see until now. Ravelry, is making folks proud to knit out loud again. I'm out there with my camera, so If I see you––don't be shy, be shown! Right Tammy? Is your hat finished?
The People Have Spoken!
The monthly announcements are returning. I've been checked by a number of travelers to the city, as to why I haven't been letting them know the 411. A-i-i-ght. Maybe I can't get there, but you can, so they're up.
Okay, gotta' go, but there's more in store!
*Isabel, is my name for her. I don't know of an official one.
