Seen On The Street

  • Her Top's On Top Again!
Dora was first shot for "Seen On The Street" when I started my blog. Years later, this golden voiced singer, again sports crochet fabulosity.

Help for Yarn Addiction

  • The Yarn Company
Yes! It's a new store, so you all former alienated needle-crafters can come back. Tavi (the new owner) has it going on!
  • The Yarn Tree
Now online only, Linda is engaging in her true passion––reviving the fiber traditions of different cultures, to repair the rips in the global fabric.
  • I Knit, London
A yarn shop with a licensed bar. When, New York, When?
  • Morris & Sons
The largest needlecraft store in the Southern Hemisphere!
  • Knit It Now!
Formerly Bonnie Triola. Bigger and better, and in the NOW.
  • Knitty City
A community center that sells yarn. Or a yarn shop that's a community center––a win win either way!
  • Fibre Arts Yarn Shop
    Knit Cape May, NJ!
  • Downtown Yarns
Rita's shop is STILL cool. The go to shop in the East Village.
  • School Products Co.
For fantastic coned yarn, and shhh––affordable cashmere! Weavers take note. A warning––not for the newbie.
  • Smiley's Yarns
Their recession busting sales are ALWAYS worth the trip to Queens!

Disdain? Heavens, no! I think it's very cool. While I am sometimes impatient to start a project, I usually enjoy the swatching process. Not my favorite part, but a good part.

I think SwstchOut is a great idea, and a lovely public service. It's so nice to be able to see what the yarns do knitted up.

Ann

BRILLIANT! I have been staring at some yarn wondering what it wants to become and the Wheatear pattern just made it happy. One Wheatear raglan sweater in blue Skye Tweed coming up.

Thanks!

Wow, what pretty, pretty swatches! I wish I was as good of a swatcher, but I don't often have the patience.

Hey it's a disdain-free zone here; I love knitting swatches.
Such a good idea to keep 'em and catalogue 'em online.
-typing all those "'em"s felt good too ;)
