Good gracious, I've finally been got!
So at first, I'm like–y'all must be kidding. Write about myself, and cram all this into categories of four? OK.
I'm a bit embarrassed to say that this has actually taken some thought, to do. I mean, so far, from the answers I've seen, folks seem to know themselves and what they like pretty well. So much so, that everyone's willing to engage their tastes regularly–like knitting. Me, well I know myself and my tastes pretty well too; but, the only thing I do pretty much regularly is knit.
Maybe this meme will show that I am a well rounded individual, ha ha. So, I'm gonna put down my current knitting, to answer these queries.
Four Jobs I Have Held–
Knit Fabric Developer–Men, Women, Youth
Associate Sweater Designer–Misses
Freelance Research Editor–Magazines
Four Movies I'd Watch Over And Over–
I really try not to. I prefer independent films, and there are a lot of new films out there. I'd rather give a new filmmaker a chance. But, there are films I have watched more than once; usually when I took someone to see it onscreen. Now, I'll tell them to get the DVD.
Four Places I've Lived–
I'm not a mover. I'm into the power of place. Until it's time to leave.
Harlem, New York
Red Hook, New York (no, not Brooklyn, Duchess County)
Four TV Shows I Watch Regularly–
You know, this took some serious thought; I prefer my entertainment to come from real life. But every now and then–real life in New York becomes monotonous. For that, there's...
Law & Order: Criminal Intent
BBC World News
Four Vacations I've Taken–
Had, is more accurate; two were with Mr. K
Cape May, New Jersey
Four of My Favorite Foods–
Besides, my own and Mr. K's cooking? I'm an amateur foodie. This was hard, since there so many places...
South Asian (Indian)
American Comfort–Soul-food–in small doses.
Four Places I'd Rather Be right now–
At this time of night? Outside of the Boy's Night at the Lenox Lounge, in Harlem (a big shout out to Edgar, and the crew), I'm happy right here at home.
Four sites I visit daily–
style.com–at present, for Spring '06'
That's it. Working from home currently, I can't sit and look at sites all day. I'm ashamed enough, that I don't visit all of the blogs I like more often. I will, start devoting an afternoon on the weekend to it. Cause I really love y'all and am genuinely interested in what y'all are doing.
Well, this is part of me in a nutshell. Now, I can go back to my Cocoon Stitch UFO. And, speaking of said Unfinished Objects, the correct answer for the pile in the previous post is NINE, and the correct guesser, is Altaviese! You Go, girl!
No, I will not ask that you help me finish the pile, but, as the winner–I will give you a free workshop in the technique of your choice, complete with free yarn and needles. It's good for a while. Email me.
And thanks to everybody who guessed, and commented–may y'all beat me to the finish line! xoxoxo
And a big welcome shout out to some new acquaintances, check 'em out: Sappmama, (I love her blog-name; does anyone remember the play?) Jessie, (whose yarn is gonna take a lot of my tax return), Divinelady, Jay, and Karin. Hey, all of these folks got skillz!
